Etosha National Park ~ Mammals
The Etosha National Park covers approximately 8,600 square miles of Namibia.
Much of the park is comprised of savannah providing food and shelter for wildlife.
For just a few days each year there may be sufficient rainfall to refill the huge lakebed of the Etosha Pan. This otherwise dry pan has a very high level of salt and minerals.
Therefore the waterholes dotted around the Park provide a great place to view the wildlife as they aeeived to obtain their daily water.
