Romania

In the last week of May and the first week of June, I joined my friend David on a photography trip with SAKERTOUR in Romania.

The first days were spent around the Danube Delta area, with all its lakes and myriad narrow channels.
Next, we travelled a hundred or so miles westwards to visit areas within the Macin National Park.
We spent a couple of days here photographing Bee-Eaters and Rollers then using woodland reflection pools and a mountainside hide for passerines.
Our final days required travelling to the south-east to Sinoe, on the Black Sea coast. Our photography was in a selection of local habitats, a quarry, mudflats and reedbeds.
