Iceland
The land of ice and fire.

Whilst at school I had studied the geology and geography of this island and so. to actually experience it, was fantastic.
The whole trip was full of great sightings and special moments.
- The spectacular scenery everywhere created by volcanic action and then subsequently reshaped by snow and ice.
- Walking around an area of geo-thermal activity, the fumaroles at Námafjall, felt somewhat surreal.
- Being out at sea watching Humpbacked and Minke Whales.
- Seeing, and particularly hearing, the thundering waterfalls across the island.
