The Gambia
After having previously visited the north, the south and then the east of the continent, this trip to The Gambia in West Africa in a way, "balanced the map".
This was birdwatching holiday taken with SWALLOW BIRDING.
As this was a birdwatching trip, it did mean fewer opportunities for photography and therefore many of my images are only record shots as there was little time to settle in order not to hold up the remainder of the birdwatching group.
Sometimes this became harder still. Whilst we would be walking in single file through forested areas a subject might appear ahead of the line and I might be in the middle or even to the rear of line.
Pleased to say that even if I didn't get record shots of some of the key subjects, I was fortunate enough to see almost all of them (even if only briefly). Overall, a very entertaining and enjoyable trip,
