Spain 2016
Our time in Spain was in two parts, "bookending the trip", so to speak.
Each day, whilst we waited for the sun to rise and create the necessary thermals for the raptors, we would start with visiting selected local areas to find species that were either resident or that were on passage.
These sites included rice growing paddy fields, coastal areas, a lighthouse viewpoint and nature reserves.
Then we took up position at one of the key "watchpoints" to witness the raptor migration.
