Victoria Falls
We travelled to Victoria Falls, via Harare, and spent our first night at the rather luxurious Victoria Falls Lodge.
Following a brief rest and refresh after our travels, we had plenty of time for a stroll to witness the Victoria Falls.
We took the path opposite ‘The Smoke that Thunders’, the local name for the Victoria Falls.
This gave some of the best views possible and yet, despite being on the far side of the waterfalls, it did not prevent some of the spray reaching us!
Even though we were not there in the peak of the rains, the sight and sound of the waters cascading down was breath-taking.
